Early Childhood Education Awards

Community educators from across the city gathered for the fourth annual GPRC Early Childhood Education Awards, held in the Collins Recital Hall on the GPRC Grande Prairie Campus on June 6, 2019.

This annual event recognizes the dedication and commitment of our community's early childhood educators, with awards being handed out based on nominations received from GPRC staff, faculty, students, and community members.

Over 50 submissions were received this year, and we honoured some outstanding individuals for their exemplary service to our community. Winners and finalists in each category were as follows;

Service Provider of the Year:

Director of the Year:

Educator of the Year:

Preschool Educator of the Year:

• 1st – Hemat Awad

Family Day Home Provider of the Year:

• 1st – Arti Thakkar
• Danielle Wiebe
• Jamie Mcmullen
