GRANDE PRAIRIE – As GPRC’s Board of Governors sets its priorities for the coming years, it is seeking feedback and guidance from communities in GPRC’s service area in the form of an online survey.
The Board of Governors has a number of Board Ends, or long-term goals, that the College strives toward. Now it is seeking public feedback to ensure the goals of the institution match the needs of the communities and industries GPRC serves.
“As GPRC transitions toward degree-granting status, the next few years will be decisive for the institution’s future,” said Natalia Reiman, Chair of the Board. “This is a pivotal point in GPRC’s history, and an ideal time to seek public feedback on its direction.”
The Board is asking the community to evaluate the importance and relevance of each of the Board Ends by completing a brief online survey. Participants will be asked to rate, on a five-point scale, their level of agreement or disagreement with each goal and will be given the opportunity to provide written feedback.
“We are a community institution first and foremost,” said Don Gnatiuk, GPRC President and CEO. “The people in our communities are all part of GPRC, and this survey represents an opportunity for them to help shape its future.”
Residents in the GPRC service area, which includes Grande Prairie, Fairview, Grande Cache, Edson, Hinton and Jasper, are invited to take part in the survey: gprc.me/BoardSurvey. GPRC is seeking respondents from a variety of industries, sectors, and perspectives. The survey will take an estimated five to seven minutes to complete and will close on October 15.
