News Archives: Thiessen Joins The Pack for Men's Volleyball

Men's Volleyball recruit, Jayden Thiessen.
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2022-23 NWP Wolves Men’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Sam Tu'ivai is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Say hello to Jayden Thiessen.
Joining the roster from Parkland County, Alberta, Thiessen is looking forward to joining the pack and seeing all that NWP can offer him. “As I was pursuing to further my education and also my physical abilities in athletics it became evident that Grande Prairie was a good fit,” said Thiessen. “I am able to complete all my education through NWP and also have an opportunity to play with a great team.”
Thiessen is bringing a ton of great experience to the Wolves, as he's been playing in the Alberta 1A Provincials since 2016.
In his upcoming rookie season, Thiessen excited to see where his volleyball career will take him. “I'm very excited to get to know the guys on the team, to be able to further improve my skills and learn from a very knowledgeable coach. I am very excited to be able to play at a higher level.”
Head Coach, Sam Tu'ivai is pleased to add Thiessen to the team.
“Jayden is strong and is eager to learn more about the sport of volleyball from teammates and coaches,” said Tu'ivai. “We are excited to have Jayden be part of the NWP Wolves next Fall. His skill set will be asset to our program.”
