Women's Volleyball recruit, Sierra LaValley.
Recruitment season has kicked off for the 2022-23 NWP Wolves Women’s Volleyball team. Northwestern Polytechnic is pleased to welcome new athletes into inclusive post-secondary sports through the priority of delivering a unique student experience for every wolf-pack member. Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is excited to add recruits to the roster.
Say hello to Sierra LaValley.
Hailing from Bezanson, Alberta, LaValley is looking forward to taking the next step to achieve her dream career. “NWP was the obvious choice for me with it being so close to home,” said LaValley. “I've heard fantastic things about their Bachelor of Education program and their athletics programs. I am hoping it will be the perfect blend for me to achieve my goals, and still be close to my support system while I do it.”
LaValley is bringing great experience with her to the Wolves. From 2017-2019, she was a member of the Bezanson Bulldogs' squad and they were named the Zone Winners in 2019. LaValley played for the Peace Wapiti Academy Titans from 2020-2022 and brought home a Bronze at Provincials during her first year. She has also played with the U16 and U17 South Peace Volleyball Club (SPVC) and is currently playing U18 with GP Velocity - which isn't new territory for LaValley as she was able to play U15 with GP Velocity as well.
In her upcoming rookie season, LaValley is ready to put in the work. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from my new Wolves teammates and refine my skills under Lauren and her coaching staff,” she said. “I am ready to work hard and do my best to represent the Wolves and my hometown community!”
Head Coach, Lauren Hale-Miller is pleased to welcome LaValley to the team.
"Sierra will bring a strong work ethic to our program. She is eager to learn and improve her skills. We are excited to get to work with Sierra and see her succeed throughout the season."
Welcome to the pack, Sierra.
